‘Jo manages to release and unwind the body and mind while subtly strengthening the whole body. She does this with tenderness and grace which allows you to embody where you are that day. A blessing to start the weekend this way’

Classes
My yoga classes reflect my own practice.
I offer a somatic yoga flow that blends mindful movement and breath-work to create a deeply nourishing practice that connects you with your body. Somatics emphasises slow, intentional movements to release tension and improve mobility. Perfect for all levels.
My sessions will support you in developing embodied awareness, reducing stress, and building functional movement patterns. I'll guide you through a series of poses and movements designed to calm the nervous system and promote relaxation. Expect a grounding, introspective flow that leaves you feeling refreshed and balanced.

About Jo
Yoga for me is about coming home to myself.
Nourishing and taking care of my body through my yoga practice. Learning about self awareness and finding acceptance with who I am.
For most of my adolescent years I struggled with anxiety, confidence and found it difficult to just be me.
I first began my yoga journey in 2011. I started going regularly to yoga classes and participating in weekend workshops and meditation sessions. This is when I realised that yoga was having quite an impact on my moods, energy levels and I genuinely started to feel well and more at ease with myself.
I travelled to South India for a few months in 2012, where I began practicing yoga everyday.
This is when a paradigm shift happened for me and I began to connect with myself on a much deeper level than I had ever experienced before. I fell in love with yoga and knew then that I wanted to continue my journey to become a teacher and share this wonderful feeling of contentment and well being.

In January 2017 I returned to South India and graduated in a 200 hours teacher training course (TTC) at an international school called Trimurti. This was such an amazing experience and I came away feeling refreshed and full of knowledge and ready to share the incredible yoga teachings.
It’s helped me become more present, express gratitude for the little things in life and so much more respect for my body and how I treat it.
I have gained confidence, self esteem and strength on my mat, which I can now apply into my everyday life and it's challenging moments. I feel very grateful and honoured to be teaching and to be sharing my love and knowledge for yoga.

In April 2023 I did the Empower course which is a facilitation training course for holding women's circles. I feel passionate about creating connection and community with women and mother's in my local area through ritual, ceremony, sharing circles, yoga and meditation.
